Pro connect, an investment company in Lagos is offering a business model to gradually reduce the level of unemployment in the country.
The Executive Director (ED) of the company, Elda David Samuel while speaking to young professionals and entrepreneurs in a high level economic summit held at Afe Babalola Hall, University of Lagos on Monday, said the company has developed an agro-business model to accommodate and train thirteen thousand unemployed graduates in ‘agropreneur’
The plan according to him is to engage a minimum of one hundred graduates every quarter, train them on okro and cucumber farming after which they will be given some lands and funds to start their own farming business.
Mr. Elda admonished youths to cultivate the habit of writing and submitting business proposals instead of CVs.
Earlier, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, a corporate social responsibility expert who was a guest speaker at the event, advised the the entrepreneurs and young professionals present to invest in responsible businesses while taking their CSR seriously as it helps in building responsible society.
