The chief judge of Kogi state, Nasir Ajanah has granted an interim order for Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, to be transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja.
Ajanah said this at the high court in Lokoja on Friday, explaining that the hearing for the bail conditions of the senator would hold on Monday.
He said this when Mike Ozekhome, counsel to Melaye, filed processes for motion seeking the bail of the senator.
Melaye is standing trail for conspiracy and gun running. A magistrate court had denied him bail, ruling that he should be in custody of the police till June 11.
The chief judge explained that the relocation order is to enable the senator receive medical attention, following the lack of facilities at the Police Clinic, Lokoja, where he is currently being held.
