Reno Omokri’s Tweet ‘Lands’ Phillip Obin Of @APCNigeria In Trouble

Phillip Obin, the handler of the now controversial twitter handle, @APCNigeria will soon face legal actions for misrepresenting and illegally operating an unauthorized twitter account on behalf of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The party spokesperson, Bolaji Abdulahi stated this while reacting to the recent chats Mr. Obin had with the former spokesman to ex- president Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri who is an ardent critic of president Mohammadu Buhari.

Abdulahi who expressed displeasure with Mr. Obin over his numerous embarrassing tweets said the party leadership has at various instances met with Mr. Obin to give up the login details of the twitter account,  but has vehemently refused to do so. He further stated that huge amount of money was even given to him at some points, but he declined accepting the money.

Mr. Abdulahi went further to state that the All Progressives Congress, APC does not operate any Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account advising members of the public to disregard reports or statements purportedly made on behalf of the party. He advised members of the public to see Mr. Obin’s conversation with Reno Omokri as his personal affair and as such does not reflect the party’s position.

He went further to reveal that official social media platforms of the party will be announced and made public when the party holds its national convention later in the year.

Mr. Omokri had share screenshots of Mr. Obin’ conversation with him alleging that that the APC was seeking his friendship.

It will be recalled that Mr. Obin through the verified twitter  handle @APCNigeria, had congratulated Mr. David Mark after the re-run election in Benue state in which David Mark of the PDP was declared winner when the APC candidate was yet to accept the outcome of the election.

Mr. Obin has also through @APCNigeria, conducted an infamous twitter poll that seeks to test the popularity of President Mohammadu Buhari, but unfortunately the poll completely rubbished the APC and the president as only less than 15% agreed that the president has performed greatly.
