ABUJA (FORT NEWS)– Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to leave for London, on Monday, April 9, 2018.
A source in the presidency had disclosed this to Daily Trust correspondent yesterday.
The source, who pleaded not to be named, said that the trip will afford the president the opportunity to attend to some private matters.
The source, however, did not give details of those private matters the president will attend to while in London.
Mr. president’s private trip is ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) billed to hold from April 15 to 20 in London.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, declined comments as he refused to speak on the matter.
President Buhari was in London last year, for several months, receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment. The president eventually returned back to Nigeria after several protests by Our Mumu Don Do Group led ChalyBoy in Lagos and Abuja.
