Buhari Celebrates Oshiomhole At 65 | FortNews

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole on his 65th birthday celebration.

The President congratulated the prominent labour leader, his friends, families and colleagues on this very important milestone, which over the years has been lined with accolades and recognition for selfless and courageous service to humanity, the nation and the community as an ex-leader of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and a former governor of Edo State.

President Buhari acknowledges the vocal and frontline roles Oshiomhole played as a unionist and labour leader in ensuring a return to democracy and the entrenchment of democratic values in governance by continually challenging the traditions and emphasizing the rule of law, people friendly policies, probity and accountability.

In a statement, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, praises the vision, bravery and forthrightness of Comrade Oshiomhole in instituting long-lasting changes in Edo State for eight years, particularly the investments in people- oriented programs, enhancing the health, educational and physical infrastructure standard of the state.

The President further affirms that the nation has benefitted immensely from the robust and responsive leadership style of the former governor, stating that as he grows older in age and wisdom his invaluable knowledge will become most useful for the growth of the nation.
